While we were visiting Mykonos we took a day trip across to the archaeological site of ancient Delos, the place where Apollo was said to have been born under a palm tree. I've been there several times before but there's always something new to see in this amazing place.

Here's one of the famous Lions presented to the sacred island by the Naxians. One of these lions sits by the Arsenale in Venice looking very lonely indeed! In fact there were a couple of marble lions in Venice, kidnapped from Greece.

This is the most photographed church in Greece, I think. It's actually three churches melted together. It happened the day we visited we were able to go inside.
